Grand Celebration of Gossner Cine Fest 4.0: A New Flight for Jharkhand’s Cinema
A grand three-day event, Gossner Cine Fest 4.0, was organized at Gossner College, Ranchi. At the closing ceremony, the chief guest, former Education Minister Bandhu Tirkey, emphasized the importance of promoting regional films so that local culture can be better understood and appreciated. The festival showcased short films, music videos, and documentaries in Hindi, Nagpuri, Odia, Santhali, and Tamil languages. The inauguration featured a dance performance by Sakshi Bage and a musical performance by singer Monika Mundu. A special music video by Ankit Tiwari and Palak Muchhal was also screened and received great appreciation from the audience.
Awards were distributed in various categories: the short film Charikandha (Odia) won first prize, while Andekha received second prize. In the documentary category, Malar and From Sully to Glory were honored. In the Nagpuri music video section, Aay Hawa secured the first position. In the tribal film category, Epil Taras (Santhali) and Anbirku EN Ondrai (Tamil) were awarded. The event was anchored by Liza, Rohit, and Shradhanjali.
The festival witnessed the presence of Prof. Mahima Golden Bilung, Saurabh Singh, Kashaf Ara, along with faculty members, students, and hundreds of cinema lovers. The event was a celebration of art and talent, which the participants described as a memorable experience.
