Students of the Mass Communication and Video Production Department at Gossner College recently undertook an educational visit to the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. The purpose of this visit was to provide students with a practical understanding of the democratic system, legislative processes, and the working style of public representatives.
During the visit, the students witnessed the proceedings of a legislative session firsthand and learned how bills are presented, discussed, and passed. They were also given a tour of important parts of the Assembly building, including the main hall, media gallery, and press room.
The students described the experience as highly informative and inspiring. They expressed that such direct exposure, along with classroom learning, helps them better understand the true nature of media and democracy.
This educational visit enriched the students’ practical knowledge and offered them an opportunity to think deeply about political discourse, parliamentary journalism, and issues of public interest.
