Students of the Mass Communication and Video Production Department of Gossner College recently undertook an educational tour of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. The objective of the visit was to provide the students with a real-time understanding of the democratic system, legislative procedures, and the working style of public representatives.
During the tour, the students witnessed the live proceedings of the Assembly session and learned how bills are introduced, discussed, and passed. They were also given a guided tour of significant sections of the Assembly building, including the main hall, media gallery, and press room.
The students described the experience as highly informative and inspiring. They shared that along with classroom learning, such real-life exposure helps them better understand the true nature of media and democracy.
This educational visit enriched the students’ practical knowledge and offered them the opportunity to deeply engage with political discourse, parliamentary journalism, and issues of public interest.
